www.commsolutionsdmn.com- It's that point in many campaigns where public forums are popping up like whack-a-mole. These are important to go to, because you find out a whole lot about who is running for these local seats. We sat down recently to watch the Robbinsdale 281 forum, and heard things that curled our hair. Thing is, it might be more severe, but it's not so different from what's going on in your school district. We have incumbents Steve Sant and Sharon Brooks-Green. The challengers are Jonas Corneya, Aileen White, Kim Holmes, Caroline Long, and a show favorite... ReNae Bowman.

Sam Sant came out of the gates as endorsed by the Robbinsdale Federation of Teachers and the DFL. Brooks-Green said that she was the only candidate that was unanimously appointed by her fellow board members. Caroline Long had to keep reminding us that she was a person of color and referring to historic inequities. By the way, Ms Long was on the negotiation board that removed the seniority requirement for white teachers for lay-offs. The current board sat and defended everything they've done and have whittled it down to "marketing", stating that people just don't know what they offer. The challengers really added nothing new, meaning that you'd better be in love with the district, because it's not getting any better any time soon.

We also discuss Tulsi Gabbard's departure from the Democratic Party, and the elites on both sides that are trying to keep a stranglehold on both parties.
