www.commsolutionsmn.com- It's that time once again for school boards to come to the taxpayers of their districts with their hand out and asking for money. School funding is so complicated (and budgets so not transparent), that it makes it difficult to follow the money. All they need to do is say that "it's for the kids", and it seems to do the trick. The Unions and the districts have a huge advantage because they have the money and resources to market their "Yes" campaign. They can even market to parents while at school events! How do we ever stand a chance for a different result?

The Anoka Hennepin school district is running two separate levies. They are using school money and resources to stump for their marketing. That should not be legal. Prior Lake-Savage is floating a 10 year, $3.5 million per year, technology levy that talks about equitable access to technology, classroom equipment, personal learning experiences... what does that mean? That's so vague. How do you ask for money without laying out specifics about what the public is buying for the district? Edina is looking to replace an old technology levy with a new, more expensive one to improve phone, safety, security, and HVAC systems. That should get kids into college. Stillwater is looking to pass two levies, one being a replacement levy, and then a new technology levy. Thief River Falls is probably the worst as they use it to force a woke agenda on a district that is 92% one race.

There are many more than these across the state. There is no real transparency in following up on how these monies are spent, and the district never seems to be any better off. How come there are not any mentions of goals that help increase graduation rates or increase test scores? Now, we can't have schools falling apart, but you're telling us that you're being as frugal as possible, and there's no waste? We don't believe it for a moment.

We also discuss our take on the recent Joe Biden address to the United Nations. His words don't meet our actions as a nation and it's a shame that we refuse to call out the evils that are being committed in Afghanistan. We keep showing the world just how weak we are. In addition, Sirhan Sirhan is up for parole again... and it could actually happen this time. What?
