Community Solutions Podcast

Sep 10, 2022

www.commsolutionsmn.com- The State of MN Department of Education is trying to pass new teacher licensing requirements. They are requiring teachers to assent to certain Marxist philosophies and agree to teach them to their students or they will no longer be able to teach in a public or private school. This crowds out every single teacher that disagrees with these philosophies. Educators will need to "demonstrate ideologically-driven content in their coursework" in order to get licensed to teach. This includes CRT, LGBTQ+ agenda, gender identification, Comprehensive Sexual Education, and other controversial topics.

They not only have to teach kids that they are either victims or oppressors, based on their level of intersectionality, but teachers have to examine and account for their own biases, as well. It supposes that we are racists, homophobes, and transphobes before we ever get a chance. Guilty until proven innocent, that is the new norm here in America. We have to make our voice heard now.

We also discuss Governor Walzie-Walz's recent Esme Murphy interview at the State Fair. He claimed students only missed ten days of in-class learning over the COVID pandemic. Uhhh... false. Of course they tried to spin it later, but that's a pretty ridiculous claim. Who's paying attention? And why doesn't anyone seem to represent the average person? Warning: rants a-plenty.
